PRESIDENT - Vincent Misanes
As a member of the Lummi Nation, I began my work career as a commercial fisherman in the Salish Sea as well as served as a Lummi Police Officer and Game Warden. I felt the call of the Lord to become a "fisher of men" twenty-five years ago after I made my life right with God accepting Christ as my savior thanks to my mother's witness to me. I began sharing the Gospel of Good News through my community and for nearly 13 years traveling between Indian Reservations and towns across British Columbia, Alberta, Montana and the Dakotas. Along the way, I met my wife Edith who was serving the homeless through a soup kitchen in Williams Lake British Columbia. Since then, we have been a team focused on serving the under-served wherever God leads us. We began our ministry to homeless at Lummi thanks to some early donor generosity that lead to building five simple cabins from recycled lumber. Those temporary shelters filled within hours, which lead us to build more to serve more. JCCCM-Lummi now serves more than two dozen homeless families on our property, with many others over the years having passed through restored and once again able to care for themselves on their own. Edith and I plan to continue God's call to serve according to His plan for our lives.
VICE PRESIDENT - Edith Misanes
I am a Canadian Cree Native from Alberta. I have been residing at Lummi since 2007. The Lord Jesus Christ has bestowed upon my heart to help other people in need. My heart feels the most compassion for the homeless. This started in 1991 and has continued here on Lummi at the Jesus Christ Chief Cornerstone Ministry's since 2008 til the present. My Love is where my heart is!
DIRECTOR - Joanne Guillen
I have been walking with the Lord for 13 years. Eleven years ago I felt the Lord directing me to Lummi to be a servant in His name. I truly believe with all my heart that there is no other way into heaven except through Jesus Christ who died for our (my) sins. Through my trials, the Lord delivered me and He has given me compassion for women who are struggling in their own lives. God has blessed me with the ability to talk to many women on the JCCCM-Lummi property. I am able to teach and support women in the women's bible study on Thursday nights showing compassion, love, and sincere concern.
TREASURER - Agnes Zilinski
I've been believing for the past 13 years that Christ died for my sins, was buried, rose again, is alive and well, has the keys of death, hell, and gave me the victory over sin and death through His precious blood. It is my honor & privilege to serve and be part of the JCCCM-Lummi for the past 7 years. I have been blessed to be on the Praise Team using my musical gifts & talents that God has allowed me to honor and glorify His name. God has and continues to use JCCCM-Lummi as an important instrument to deliver hope and healing for the homeless and disadvantaged in our community.
SECRETARY - Syndee Bousquet
My original introduction to the JCCCM-Lummi was in 2008 when I was about to become homeless. I became a resident and since then have been blessed to be able to use my talents & skills to help the program. I accepted the Jesus Christ in 2009. I have always known about God, however I never really understood the power & love that He provided until I totally surrendered to that power & love. Now, I am involved to give back to the JCCCM-Lummi fellowship with my love, compassion, & friendship.
